State Fair 2014

Mom and I enjoyed a quick walk at Ada Hayden and breakfast at The Cafe to start the day off.    There aren't many things I miss about Ames, but breakfast at the Cafe with my parents is definitely something I miss.

After breakfast, we loaded the boys up to head to the state fair!   We meant to go last year and didn't get it accomplished, so we were glad we had time to do it this year while Mammey as still in town.

After a lot of convincing, the boys agreed to go be little farmers.  It took about 3 minutes before they decided it was REALLY fun.

Mammey held down the fort (and beverages) while we rode the boat ride.  I think next year I'll volunteer to hold the beer and someone else can ride the boat!

We checked out all the cute baby animals.

Henry decided we needed a snack.

Then we hit the rides!   Mammey got a GIANT packet of tickets for the boys, so they did all the rides they could possible cram in.

Henry LOVED his first roller coaster ride!

Like I mentioned before, I'm not sure when my timid little kiddo turned into such a brave boy, but he's certainly continuing to be brave.

We found a few more snacks and wandered over to find the butter cow and giant slide.

Linc was kind enough to watch our puppies while we enjoyed the fair.

Another amazing weekend!   Can't wait til next year to continue this awesome tradition!
