Ready or not, here we go!
He didn't want to pose for any pictures once we got there, so I snapped a few while he was running away from me!
We got all settled at his desk. He was a little nervous, but he told me just to stay for a minute until he gave me a thumbs-up. A few seconds later, up popped his thumb, and I left my little kiddo at his first day of school.
Henry was lucky enough to get into the after school program at Zion Church here in town. He gets to ride the bus from school to church until it's time to come home for the evening. They send us a text when he arrives. I had to suppress the urge to run over and pick him up right after I got the text.
After school, we went to get Sam from Council Bluffs. Henry decided we also needed ice cream. He got bubble gum AND chocolate chip mint.
Once we got home, he told me all about his day. His favorite part was riding Bus No. 5 to the church. Bob the bus driver was really awesome.
This little chatterbox had a great first day of school.
We enjoyed a little nice weather before bedtime too.
Thankfully his first day of kindergarten was a success!
