Spider Whoopie Pies

Sammy has decided it's really fun to cook.  He helped make some yummy spider whoppie pies last night.  Such a good helper.

We discovered Henry likes black licorice. He ate all the legs while I was putting Sammy to bed.  Smarty.

Pumpkins

We carved our pumpkins tonight.  The boys really like the kind of decorations that you stick in like Mr. Potatoe Head.  Dave and I carved the 43-pound and 35-pound pumpkins.   Henry thought the pumpkins were very stinky!

Trunk or Treat!

Dani, Brad, and Lincoln joined us this year for Trunk or Treat at our day care.  We decided to grab some lunch first so stopped by Pizza Ranch.

After lunch the boys decided to shoot some hoops!

We got over to day care just as Trunk or Treat was beginning.  Lincoln very quickly figured out what to do!

The boys got to check out a fire truck.  Sam didn't want to get out.

Sam's teacher brought her Harley.  Sam and Lincoln had fun sitting on it and honking the horn.  Henry decided he preferred to watch from the ground.

The weather was absolutely perfect out, so we sat on the curb for a while and enjoyed some of our treats.

Everyone had a fabulous time!  Thanks Dani, Brad, and Lincoln for making the drive over!   We loved spending our Sunday with you.

3 Bee Farms

We met up with Charlotte and Heather to play this afternoon for a bit in Griswold.  The kids had fun and Heather and I enjoyed catching up.

Sadly, Burrito was missing so we may never know what type of animal it was :)

Henry also got to photobomb a wedding party.  Good times!!

Ditmars

Last year we bought a Groupon to Ditmars Orchard.  We had such a great time, so we were very excited to see the same deal this year.  We picked up our apple cider slushies and apple cider donuts and headed outside to enjoy some sunshine.

The kids enjoyed running around on the playground and tire mountain.

Then we hopped on a hayrack ride out to the pumpkin patch.

After we bought our pumpkins, we wandered over to the corn maze.  We may have gotten lost for a while.

Time to head home for lunch and a nap!  We have another pumpkin patch to visit this afternoon with Charlotte!!

Women of Faith and Barnum and Bailey

Another crazy weekend has come and gone.  I drove up to Minneapolis to spend some time with my family there.   We had a great time Thursday night playing Apples to Apples and visiting.

Friday morning we got up to hit the Mall of America.  We had a delicious lunch at Crave, did a little shopping, and spent most of our day trying to find different animals to feature in our video dance-off we had via iPhone with my nieces.  I'm starting to regret not buying the amazing tiger pants I found on clearance featured in our first video.    We stopped at Macy's and enjoyed some PinkBerry, and I got my mom a box of Frango mints, her childhood favorite!

Friday night we attended the evening session of Women of Faith and got to hear some great music and hear some interesting speakers.  After we finished, we went over to St. Paul Grill for the tradional 10 p.m. reservation with cocktails and appetizers.

Saturday morning we walked back over for another round of speakers.   Patsy Clairmont and Lisa Bevere had some great stories to tell.   Mercy Me put on a fabulous concert.

After the conference ended, we went off to meet my nieces and brother-in-law again for a nice dinner and relaxed the rest of the evening.

Sunday morning we got up early to meet Dave and the boys for the circus in Des Moines!   The boys loved it.   I was more than a little stressed once I realized how good our seats were.   After a while I forgot that we could potentially be trampled to death by an elephant and enjoyed the rest of the show.

After the circus, we grabbed lunch at Zombie Burger before we had to head home.   A great time was had by all!
