Henry Turns 5 - March 6th

I was so excited for Henry's birthday!   I bought stuff to make him birthday pancakes with star sprinkles and bacon for breakfast.  Sadly he wasn't feeling well, so I gave up on that plan.    Ever since Henry was born, he's been extremely close with Mammie.  What a lucky little kiddo!   She came to visit from Arizona and stayed for five days to celebrate Henry's birthday with him.

I always take vacation on Henry's birthday to spend the day with him, but I decided this year since Mammie was here,  I would work and let the two of them spend the day together on their own.

Henry was feeling better by lunch, so they went to town and enjoyed spaghetti at Fazoli's.  They also went to Kohl's and got a new fun Mario toy and Angry Bird pajamas.

Henry had been talking about going swimming for weeks for his birthday, so we made a quick trip over to ISD to enjoy their indoor pool.   He had a great time!

After our swim, we went to La Mesa.  Henry has always wanted to go and have them sing Happy Birthday to him, but for some reason, it has never worked out.  This year was no exception.  The birthday boy passed out before his dinner even arrived.

We carried him to the car.  Of course once in the car, he was wide awake again.  We grabbed some Artic Rushes (Mr. Misty for anyone over the age of 25!) from DQ on the way home.

Henry opened his gift from Mammie and his gift from us.

I think he had a pretty fun birthday!     Hard to believe this little peanut is already 5.   Seems like just yesterday he was only this big.
