After my awesome time in Oksy, I had planned to come back and celebrate Dave's birthday with the kids at Sempeck's with bowling, laser tag, and go carts. I pulled my phone out of my pocket after I arrived home to text my mom about the amazing bloody mary's I had in Oksy and managed to shatter my screen. UGH!
After a late start on the road, we decided to try to find a screen protector to make my phone useable until Dave could replace the screen. After stopping at Radio Shack and two Verizon stores, we decided we probably didn't have time to go out to Sempeck's, due to it being nearly an hour away.
We decided to grab dinner as planned at Guaca Maya, Dave's favorite Mexican restaurant in Omaha.
We had to get their amazing flaming cheese dip! So good.
After a thoroughly amazing dinner, we called the local bowling alley. Thankfully they had open bowling, so we decided to save the trip to Sempeck's for a day when we had more time.
Our first family bowling trip was pretty darn fun!

I'm really glad my children didn't beat me. I'm guessing next time I may not be so lucky. Henry has asked about 10 times when we are going bowling again. He must have enjoyed himself.

What birthday celebration would be complete without ice cream -- well, fro-yo! Orange Leaf was the perfect ending to our day! We did manage to find a screen protector at Target afterward, so my phone issue was resolved. Guess everything worked out! |
