Sunday Funday - November 2

Since the weather was nice, we decided we better get to the park one more time before it got cold and snowy out.

Henry's been VERY excited about winter coming.  I don't share his feelings.  I'm sad fall is coming to an end, but we've definitely had a lot of fun this fall.

Breakfast - Starbucks Addiction

Sam always eats a good breakfast at home in the morning.  He's usually up at 6 and has eggs or something shortly after.  Yet somehow every time we drive into town on our way to preschool, he's suddenly starving.  This morning we were running early.  His FAVORITE place to eat is Panera because he loves their cheese souffles, but he kept telling me he wanted a hot dog for breakfast.
UM ...  okay.

When I was in Minnesota for Women of Faith, the Starbucks there had a yummy sausage wrapped in a croissant.  I figured he might like that.  I was planning to hit Starbucks anyway for coffee, so I let him tag along.  Of course it turns out that our Starbucks didn't have those yummy sausage things.  After spending quite a while debating what he wanted to eat, I decided he was eating vanilla bean scones.  I started to walk out to the car with him, and he loudly informed me that we should probably eat at the table so we don't get crumbs in the car.

He loved his scones and ate at least half of my Danish.

I'm guessing he'll be a gold card member before he's in kindergarten.

Halloween 2014

My mom had planned to come trick or treat with the boys Friday.  Wednesday trick-or-treating in Treynor got moved to Thursday evening due to a volleyball game conflict.  So we changed our plans around a bit at the last minute.

It was a little odd this year not to be going to Millard to trick or treat.  I made the boys a Halloween-themed dinner before they took off with Dave to go trick-or-treating.

The boys had fun wandering around Treynor collecting treats.  After they got back, they even took over handing out candy for me.

Friday morning, I joined Sam for his Halloween parade through the hospital.  He had a great time, despite the freezing cold temperatures.

My mom joined Henry for lunch while I attended my court reporter meeting at work.  He is not a fan of Fiestada pizza, but he showed Grandma where to go in line to get her lunch.  They had fun eating together.

Later that night, we went over to the zoo to attend Spooktacular.  We had a really fun time.

 Henry loved the bouncy slide.

There were fun games to play.

We even got to see our friend Deb down in the bat cave!

This is definitely going on our to-do list for next year.

Book It - October 27th

Henry was really excited to see this pumpkin leaf bag at school.  He actually let me get out of the car with him to take his picture instead of shooing me out of the parking lot.

After school, we took Henry to Pizza Hut to use his Book It coupon.  I remember doing Book It in elementary school, so it was fun for me to find out the program is still going strong after 30 years.  That makes me feel old.

Henry loved his pizza and is already looking forward to his free pizza for reading in November.
