Pump It Up - Addie's Party
If you didn't know, all the cool 5-year-olds have their party at Pump It Up. Thankfully I booked Henry's there a few weeks ago. He had an awesome time at Addie's party.
Thanks, Brook, for your shopping tips! Turns out I have no idea what little girls this age like. Thankfully with some help from a friend, we found the perfect gift for Addie. She even brought it to show and tell the next week.
Krispy Kreme! - January 24, 2014
I told Henry we could go get a special treat after day care today and surprised him by going to the new Krispy Kreme store in Council Bluffs. He had a great time.

Bathtime for Larry Boy
Sam loves Super Larry. It's his favorite toy. Larry Boy is well loved. Even superheros need baths sometimes.
Board Meeting - January 10, 2014
Despite some icky weather, we had our first board meeting of 2014 in Des Moines. Sadly Brook was unable to join us due to an informal bed rest she was unexpectedly placed on.
We had a good meeting, and Sarah and I made it back to our hotel in just enough time to find out there was a shuttle that would take us to and from Flemings, so we hopped on and enjoyed the gift certificate I won a few months back at an event planning seminar.
The following morning we lounged around. It was the best! I enjoyed watching Extreme Couponing on TLC and can't remember the last time I stayed in my pjs in bed alone until 10:30!
After we got moving, we went to Younkers to use a coupon for some new outfits for an event Wednesday. I may never be able to walk into Younkers again! I found the only shirt that wasn't on sale and then spent an hour trying to find something else to be able to use my coupon. After two hours, we finally completed our transactions!
We had a fabulous lunch and did a bit more shopping before we had to part ways. It was fun knowing we would see each other again so soon the following Wednesday!
I stayed at my mom's house originally thinking I would catch up on some more sleep. We ended up going to see a movie that started at 10:05. With previews and everything else, it didn't actually start until 10:37. We ended up getting home at almost 2. I had to get up early to get home, so after four hours of sleep, we woke up and ran to Starbucks for a quick coffee before I made the drive home.
