I don't know when I actually turned into a brave mom. Maybe when my desperation to leave the house exceeded my fear of being out in public with two unpredictable little people. Sometimes it's worth the risk!

Pump It Up - January 1, 2014
Henry's best friend Max turned five, so Henry attended his first official birthday party. He had a fabulous time and of course informed me he would be having his party at Pump It Up as well.
What a week - January 19, 2014
Henry was sick on Sunday when I got home. We didn't accomplish much this week.
Monday
Friday with the flu - January 17, 2014
Everyone at my house this week has been sick. We spent a lazy Friday night in playing Angry Birds. Hoping everyone feels better by Monday.
State of the Judiciary - January 15, 2014
I had the privilege of attending the State of the Judiciary this week with Sarah! My mom had the day off, so she kept the boys. Sam was sick, so they mostly lounged around and watched TV.
Chief Cady gave a great speech. Afterward, Sarah and I attended a meet and greet. We got to meet Governor Brandstadt, Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds, and several other judges and representatives.
We had a lovely morning. We definitely missed having Brook with us, as she was busy reporting a very exciting painful yet interesting jury trial in another county before Bubble arrives.
Flashback - January 10, 2014
I love pictures and the story they tell. Of course it's only a part of the story. I was flipping through my phone like I often do, glancing at pictures. I had just gotten a copy of this picture from day care of the boys on ugly sweater day. I took a few minutes to really sit down and look at them. I had one of those moments that just knocks you to the floor.
Because this picture ...
Reminds me so much of this picture.
Funny how life works sometimes.
Resolutions - January 1
It's pretty hard to reach a goal if you don't set it. Sadly with a lot of things right now, I just don't know what I want. I do know that in 2014, I want to be happier. So hopefully the following goals will help make life easier and a bit happier for 2014.
I am going to get back to what I weighed on May 29, 2013, by May 29, 2014. I've done a solid six months of damage to my body, so now I'm ready to do a solid six months of healthy living and exercising to get back to where I was at.
Sam is going to be potty-trained before he turns 3. I'm sick of buying Pull-Ups!
Every room in this house will be organized by July 1. Nobody needs this much stuff, so a minimum of 25 things are going to Goodwill or Freecycle each week.
My kids will be in their room in their beds by 9 p.m each night. This lady needs sleep!
I'm going to set a budget and actually stick to it! I waste WAY too much money on stupid things.
