Henry asked if we could go to the zoo this weekend. After checking the weather, I decided it was better to head over for a quick trip after work. There is no better time than off season afternoons to be at the zoo. It's practically empty, so you don't have to worry about crowds or waiting in line. We did get swarmed by bats in the jungle, which was a hilarious experience I hope to never relive!!

Leaves Are Falling
We went to Ames for the weekend to help pack up some things at the house. We don't have any leaves at home, so we took a few minutes to take advantage of the plethora of leaves at grandma's house before they got bagged up.

Rainbows
A few weeks ago I was driving home. The weather was just really weird that day. I stopped and took a few pictures on the way home. Once I got home, there was a really intense rainbow ... directly over my house. I wish I had run inside to grab the good camera but my phone did an okay job.
The last four months seem to have been one giant storm. I'm patiently waiting for my rainbow to appear.

The Garden
My grandma was a master gardener. Her flowers and plants were truly amazing. I feel very blessed to have many of them growing in my backyard. I will definitely think of her in the spring when they bloom. Below are just a few pictures of her garden over the years.
